The Bird Watching cafe is situated close to the Chitose river. From the cafe you can view the forest and all the birds and animals that live in the area. The cafe also has a purpose built bird hide from which you can photograph the animals at close range. We serve a variety of hot sandwiches and sweets with coffee, tea, cold drinks, beer and wine. Also housed in the same building is the Tadashi Shimada Nature photo gallery showcasing his work as a photographer of birds both locally in Hokkaido and other international works.2014年12月、北海道千歳市蘭越に私のギャラリー、嶋田忠ネイチャーフォトギャラリーがオープンしました。ギャラリーには、シマフクロウやカワセミ、アカショウビンなどの過去の作品や、ヤマセミなどの最新作が展示してあり、年に数回はテーマごとに展示替えをしています。また、企画展として、自然をテーマとしている写真家の作品展も行う予定です。ギャラリー内のザ,バードウォチングカフェは、清流千歳川の河畔林に面しているため、年間を通してたくさんの鳥や動物を楽しむことが出来ます。隣接するバードフォトカフェは、カモフラージュされた小屋の中から、野鳥撮影が出来るようになっています。ギャラリーの作品とともに、野鳥たちの生命の息吹きを体感していただきたいと思います。
