" Our family of 8 spent 4 days in Hakuba in Feb 2018, where we received the best hospitality from the host Mr. Tadshi of Avanti Chalet, he has been more than helpful in so many ways during our stay. Due to the bad road condition we arrived 2 hours later than expected on the first day but he and his wife has been waiting at their residence next door even he was late for work. Next morning, while we were out for ski he took my father around the town for hours just my father can decide which restaurants to book for dinner! He also helped us to find car repair shop as our car were damaged on the way to Hakuba. The chalet itself is a piece of art, Mr. Tadashi has put a lot of effect on the chatlet and it does feels like a home for us in the winter! We loved the pace, from the design, furniture and equipment, the heating system is installed in the wall and under the floor so there is not a single place that you will feel cold inside the house.
There was a home made snow slope right outside of the chalet, where you can sled down the slope all the way to the chalet entrance (around 20 meters). After seeing my wife's fail sled attempt to reach the entrance, Mr. Tadashi spent an hour fixing the angle of the slope and yes it did help my wife improved her distance on the sled!
I have to thank host again for such a wonderful chalet, which had made our family trip to Hakuba perfect. "
