" My Salon RIN experience was remarkable. It has the friendliest staff who you can discuss your hair concerns with. My friend and I were looking for salons here in Nara where we won’t have a hard time communicating, and we found Salon Rin! So we were happy.
Mariko-san, the stylist really knows what type of treatment is best suited for my hair, he also suggested other items that can be done, but would always ask me if that is to my liking.
Overall, it was a nice experience… and I promise to be back! ☺️ "

While travelling in Japan after my destination wedding I thought I’d take the opportunity to experience a Japanese haircut before returning home. While our stay in Nara I came across Salon RIN via a Google search. This salon stood out to me as the reviews mentioned that the staff spoke English and had exceptional customer service and years of experience. With Japanese not being my strongest point I chose this salon. I went to the salon in hope of getting an appointment over the coming days. To my surprise I was able to be accommodated that same morning!! The owner was exceptional, the stylist very thorough, the facilities and process nothing like a haircut in Australia, very relaxing and gentle. The owner happily translated for me all the way through the haircut, the process was something I’ve not experienced before I felt very pampered. I love my new style and thank you to the Salon RIN Team for making my experience a memorable one!! "

" In short, this salon is a great one and I had a very positive experience here. Highly recommended everyone who want to have a taste of Japanese salon service to visit here.
I came across this salon when I was searching for a salon in Nara which would offer service to foreigners. I found its Facebook and website. Eventually I booked through Hot Pepper Beauty (for people who know Japanese) but for English speaking people, Facebook is a good way to reserve the service too.
The owner was very nice and friendly. He replied Facebook message promptly. He helped translating almost everything during the time I was there. My stylist 祐san was a sweet beautiful lady who did all the work on her own, taking care of my hair carefully and professionally. They communicated thoroughly about the hair style and the color I wanted while offering advices which suit my concerns.
I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere there a lot. The tea, the head massage or the comfortable chairs, they shaped a very cosy salon experience. I did cut, color, perm treatment there. It only took 3 hours (exactly like what I was told beforehand). The price could be easily found in Hot Pepper Beauty App or their website. I would recommend tourists who will travel to Nara with some spare time to visit this salon for relaxation and beauty :)
