Magazine_____________In her work as a documentary photographer and filmmaker, Sybilla Patrizia has covered social, cultural and political topics such as the struggles of the Tibetan Diaspora in Northern India, Hong Kong's Umbrella Revolution, fetishization of cuteness in contemporary Japanese mainstream culture, Japan's cherry blossom craze and the LGBTQ+ community in Tokyo. Her documentary film "Unbroken" was awarded Best Film at the 2019 Ginza Short Film Contest and premiered at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia in Tokyo. Sybilla is currently developing a brand-new, feature-length documentary entitled PLASTIC LOVE!, which deals with Japan's obsessive addiction to plastic. As part of her project, Sybilla was featured in the Social Good Book 2019 by HERMÈS Japon.Her photographic projects have been published by the BBC, VICE , AnOther Magazine, Financial Times and Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin, and have been featured and exhibited in Germany, Austria, the USA, Japan and the UK.
