Don't know why reviews are referring to this as a station as it is clearly a single building with facilities like shops and a water fountain and is connected to the Higashi Shinjuku station via exit A3. Unrelated to the station itself. Located conveniently opposite to a supermarket and closed to the train station. An ideal office location for any company. "

" This is the world's largest and most confusing train station. I got lost here so many times it's not even funny. It would be way better if there were a way to walk underneath the station without having to pay to walk through the gates, as if you come out the wrong exit, it takes a while to walk around the station "

" Takeuchi Clinic - This is a review for Takeuchi Clinic which is located inside Shinjuku Eastside Square. I am currently on honeymoon in Japan staying at the Toyoko Inn Shinjuku. Unfortunately my wife came down with a nasty bug from the last leg of our trip and was feeling awful (vomiting all night, lethargic). She said she was fine, but I did not want her to get any worse so asked our front reception for a walk in clinic. I wanted her to see a doctor as a precaution as we still have another 3 weeks here. The front desk recommended us to Takeuchi clinic - which was about a 7 minute walk away. Huge bonus given she could barely walk and just wanted to sleep.
We filled out a short questionnaire when we arrived with some English on it describing basic symptoms. The doctor saw us in about 10 minutes - His English level is not perfectly fluent so do be patient with him as he needs to take a minute or two to figure out how best to express himself. But once he composes what he wants to say he is perfectly understandable. He was extremely patient with us, was willing to listen and did his best to make sure that he fully understood what we were saying. He also made sure that he answered all our questions as well.
You can tell that he genuinely wanted to help, and showed concern - unlike some doctors I have met back home where they just want to get you in and out the door. He wrote a prescription for anti nausea and headache and we were able to fill the prescription at a pharmacy on the first floor. His clinic is in the basement (B1) of the building.
Nurses also want to help, but their command of the English language was very very limited. The doctor himself was more then adequate.
If you need intensive care I am not sure I would recommend you come here, but if you are having a bit of a cold/fever and need to get some basic medical care I would recommend you pay this doctor a visit. The cost to see him was about $4000 YEN which considering we have no insurance in a foreign country this was not too bad. Its a huge relief that the visit did not break the bank, he was able to communicate and confirm with us that he did not see any major issues and prescribe some basic medication.
Excellent bedside manner as well - and he was consistently busy with people coming and going. "
