Out Star Initiative is a community-based initiative that was formed in 2016 to advocate for sexual Reproductive Health Rights, reduce stigma and discrimination and creating awareness for Transgender and GNC community within Rural and Peri-Urban of Busia County. The organization aim of advocating for the rights of transgender and GNC individual on access to Health services, reduce stigma and discrimination and creation of space within the community. Through Human Right Advocacy, Health, Security and economic empowerment. The transgender and GNC on several occasion are being violated in one reason or the other and this has been socially, politically and economically, which has led most transgender and GNC committing suicide, suffer from mental health, physical support, economical support, eviction, unlawful undressing. The legal frame work, religion and culture has contributed to stigma and discrimination within the community.
