Network in disability and community development believes in a world where persons living with disabilities have equal opportunities to succeed.Ndcdkenya was formed in 1998 as a community based organization that was championing for the human rights of persons with disabilities in Migori County. It was later on in 2013 registered by the ngo coordination board in Kenya as an NGO under registration no: OP. 218/051/13-0180/8940.Persons living with disabilities are among kenya's most vulnerable groups due to stigma, descrimination and lack of institutional support. Our experience working with in both urban and rural communities has found that women and girls with disabilities face multiple and interlinked challenges in realising their full potentials in regard to their education, sexual reproductive health, political participation and economic empowerment. Network in disability and community development works with persons with different kinds of disabilities, women with disabilities and children with disabilities alongside their care givers. We believe that in order to effect sustainable change in the society, we need to work alongside the systems in the communities. We endeavour to change how communities perceive persons with disabilities
