Ishawna is set to hit the big screens soon as after inking a movie deal with American film company, Royalty and Respect Films.

The “Slippery When Wet” singer is slated to play a supporting role in an upcoming movie as early as next year.Her character will be a talented dancehall deejay who is working as a dancer, while waiting on her big break.

Monty Green, CEO of Royalty and Respect Films, told reporters that he was pleased to have Ishawna on-board, as he believes the Dancehall artist is a natural talent and will prove to be a good fit for the role.

The gift basket came from LA baby boutique Petit Trésor . Sources at the shop claim that Nicki purchased the basket "minutes after the birth announcement was made," and that the instruction was to “make it as girly as possible.”

The basket includes seasonal clothes, dolls, stuffed animals and a sterling silver rattle.

Cardi B and Offset welcomed their daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus, on Tuesday. The Migos rapper was by her side as Cardi gave birth in an Atlanta hospital, reports TMZ .

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper announced the baby’s arrival on Instagram Wednesday morning, posting a nude maternity photo with the caption: “Kulture Kiari Cephus 07/10/18 @offsetyrn.”

The name Kulture comes from Migos’ two charttopping albums, 2017’s Culture and this year’s Culture II, while Kiari is Offset’s birth name. This is the first child for Cardi B and the fourth for Offset, who has three children from previous relationships.

According to TMZ, Manny Halley will collect a sizable check from David Weise & Associates after settling a defamation suit.

Halley sued Thug’s former financial team after they allegedly sent an email accusing Halley of racking up $200,000 in unauthorized charges.Halley insisted the money was spent on Thug’s private jets that were used during a tour.

Defense lawyers representing Vybz Kartel and his co-accused are expressing confidence in their case before the Appeal Court in Jamaica.The Gazanation boss’ legal team scored their first victory on day one of the highly anticipated trial on Monday when a judge approved their request to enter fresh evidence in their appeal. The lawyers say that was a huge development that has significantly boost their case against the government.

One of the defense lawyers says that the defense presented 140 pages of arguments to the court and the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, responded with a page and a half of arguments.

“That to me is telling, it shows that they have no response to what we have put forward before this Court of Appeal,” he said.

The trial was adjourned on Monday and will pick up back next week Monday, July 16.

Childish Gambino's former record label is taking him to court over streaming royalties.

According to TMZ , Glassnote Entertainment Group has filed a lawsuit against Childish Gambino, claiming that the “This Is America” rapper has made over $700,000 in streaming money and hasn’t paid any to them.

According to the report, Glassnote paid Glover nearly $8 million in royalties and is expecting to pay him another $2 million over the next three months. The label also claims Donald demanded $1.5 million from them to resolve streaming royalty disputes.

Childish Gambino released three albums on Glassnote—2011’s Camp, 2013’s Because the Internet, and 2016’s Awaken, My Love! In January, he signed a new deal with RCA Records, where he is set to release his next album.

Through her attorneys at Robins Kaplan LLP, led by Paul LiCalsi, Cardi B is counter-suing Klenord Raphael, KSR Management and WorldStar Entertainment Group for more than $15 million. The suit was filed on Thursday (July 5) in the Southern District of New York.

In the suit, Cardi claims her manager was trying to control too many aspects of her personal life, including the relationship with her now-husband Offset. She also alleges her ex-management team tried to take more than what they deserved under a typical management contract.

Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, alleges that Raphael tried to take 50 percent of her Sony Music publishing deal.

The Pompano Beach rapper confirmed on social media that he received his High School Diploma just two days after revealing that he passed the GED practice test.

“I just received my high school diploma today and although it is a big accomplishment for me I am yearning for more,” Kodak Black wrote on IG.

Kodak Black is also reportedly set to be released from jail in September after serving around nine months behind bars for probation violation. Ed Sheeran is facing a lawsuit over claims that he infringed on a Marvin Gaye classic.

A company called Structured Asset Sales is seeking $100 million in damages, claiming Ed’s 2014 hit “Thinking Out Loud” is a copy of Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.”

According to the suit,via TMZ, Sheeran’s song has the same melody, rhythms, harmonies, drums, bassline, backing chorus, tempo, syncopation and looping as Gaye’s 1973 hit.

Structured says Ed’s single and the album it’s from, x , sold more than 15 million copies and that the song has been streamed more than 1 billion times on YouTube.

“Thinking Out Loud” peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Sol Performance at the 58th Grammy Awards in 2016.

The Jackson musical family patriarch died on Wednesday at approximately 3:30 AM, TMZ reported. Joe Jackson was hospitalized for terminal cancer just before his death, and all of his living children and grandkids flocked to his bedside ever since. His wife Katherine Jackson was also reportedly by his bedside despite their separation.

Joe has been battling frail health for the last few years. He overcame three heart attacks back in 2015 when doctors implanted a pacemaker inside his body. He was also hospitalized in 2016 for a lingering fever but quickly bounced back.
