Pork is the most widely consumed meat in the world. People eat many different pork products, such as bacon, sausage and pork chops. You might grill pork ribs in the summer, or you might enjoy a Christmas ham. Have you ever thought of how many products or uses your pig brings? For us we have and we want you to have a chance to be part of it. We are a group of pig farmers who have come together with an initiative form a sacco with other pig farmers across the country to hel...p ourselves increase maximum profits, and make pig farming more viable. Currently we are near 30% and our target which is two hundred (200) and our time scale is by 1st of November. Before that we are to start registration processes and we were think once we are a half the number we can see when to do that. We are looking to raise ksh 6 million to start, with everyone contributing 30k as initial capital which will be paid after all members are registered and the sacco is in place and we have elected the representatives. Our aim is to buy about 3 acres of land, import & install a full functioning feed processing factory and slaughter house with processing plant for all pig by-products for value addition We are planning to meet after 30th Oct (date to be agreed) to elect officials as soon as the group reaches expected number.
