Theatre goers and lovers, watch out for this play "THIEVES AS HUMANS" On the 31st of June and 1st of July 2018, Dr. Fred Mbogo's, Thieves As Humans will be premiering.

This project is special to us, firstly because it is ADA's first piece to be directed, produced, stage managed, set-designed and house-managed by women! Secondly it is our first two-hander (so the men also get their share since the 2 characters are male). Come share this unique experience with us at the Cheche... Gallery inside the Kenya Cultural Centre.

SYNOPSIS: What is it like to be betrayed?what is it like to have your past haunt you then catch up with you?

Three men bound by mounds of garbage and thiefery as their source of income,a dumpsite as a home to the 3 of them and a bond stronger than friendship managed to get by with the difficulties life has to offer. When one of them decides to go against the other two, he tries to move on with life but his betrayal catches up with him years later . Will he be able to reconcile with his past or will his past let him pay for the mistake he did?

This is an edge of the seat; nail biting, and gripping two-hander by Fred Mbogo about dealing with your past and self-acceptance. It is directed by Esther Kamba , Starring Bilal Mwaura & Xavier ywaya and Produced by WanjiraHassan

1.Liam: strictly 37 to 40 years male: Well groomed man and very good looking. Looks very successful and rich. Genuine and caring man. Well educated and speaks fluent English and Swahili. The type of man who probably went to a group of schools/private setup. Be able to speak good English and Swahili. (Think of a Mark Masai kinda guy.)

2. Lyne - female - 22 - 30 year old. A beautiful ambitious Lady who trapped and manipulated her husband into marrying her. She has always claimed to come from royalty but no one knows that her past is way murkier than that. she is sultry and sexy and knows how to use that to her advantage…extremely self centered and cannot think of anyone beyond herself… The only weakness is that she hides a constant fear that everything can be snatched away from her.

2.Dylan 24 to 28 years old Male. Light skin. Good looking. Rich spoilt brat. He’s had it easy all his life and is used to getting things done his way. Be able to speak good English and Swahili

3.Carrey: 40 to 50 years of age female: hefty/big body type. Not afraid to speak her mind. Not afraid to call a spade a spade. She is foul mouthed and will throw insults at will. She can speak sheng. She comes across as daunting and threatening. Carrey’s demeanor and presence are quite intimidating and no one dares to mess with her.

4. Mary: 35 to 40 years old female: Skinny. Light skin. She is loud and boisterous. She is also comical and over-acts. Has big eyes. Must be fluent in swahili.

5.Travis: 10 year old boy. Naughty as hell. Always looking for some mischief or other. Quite a pain in the neck but extremely loveable. He is smart and intelligent and knows how to bargain his way around. Physically he’s the kind of kid you will see and instantly fall in love with… he looks cute to the core… till he drives you nuts with his naughtiness!

6.Camila: 30 to 35 year old woman. Receptionist by profession, she is kind, friendly and appealing to the eyes with a great personality. She is generally a pleasant woman. Be fluent in both English and Swahili
