" The silence of the nature plus its magnificent beauty in the Soysambu Conservancy, which in it lies the Mbweha Camp in the expansive Lake Nakuru National Park.
The place is a palace for the people who like privacy coupled with adventure
The rooms can accommodate from singles, couples...family...families...group of friends...to large gruoups who opt to camp.
Built in the set up of traditional houses but the finishes are out of this world.
Experience nature at its best at Mbweha Camp "

" One of the best kept secrets! Top holiday spot if you are looking for a private getaway with family and friends. The amenities are top notch and the staff makes sure you enjoy your stay. Lots of surprises too in term of meal set up. Will leave it at that so that I don't spoil the surprise:-) "

" Our stay here was luxurious, peaceful, fun and extraordinary. The camel safari through Soysambu Conservancy and around Lake Elementaita (organized by the lodge) was one of a kind. I would recommend it to all travellers, from foreigners to locals escaping from the noise of Nairobi. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Showers are hot and the rooms are cozy. Book the room with the outside bath tub!
Their Wi-Fi is not the best though. "

" I would never recommend this lodge if you care about your life and the life of your family.

Past December 2013 I took my two sisters and my mother to Mbweha camp.
On our second night at the lodge my mother suffered food poisoning after having fish over dinner.

Symptoms started around midnight with severe vomiting and diarreas . Being 76 years old this can be a serious condition.
I should've known better on what was to expect from the management when It took us almost half an hour to get someone to wake up and come to help.

As they have no doctor at lodge we ask them to help calling flying doctors, (or to get a Doctor from other lodge or town), but they had no idea on whom to call or what to do.

Mum was getting worse so i decided to get the whole family in our car and drive through the bush to the closet town in order to get help.

The manager came with us and try to help as much as he could but he didn't even have the closest idea on what was the best hospital, and not even sure about the address so we spend quite a while looking for anybody that could help us finding the right place.

We finally managed to get treatment at a hospital where bedsheets where still tainted with blood and toilets unserviceable.
By the time mum was admitted she was almost unconscious and making no sense on the things she was saying.

After a few hours, and having my mother stabilised with some IV and Antibiotics, we got an ambulance to transport her to Nairobi where she had the best treatment we could get.
She was out of danger 24 hours later and treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi was the best i could hope for.

Food poisoning can easily happen anywhere, The problem starts when no emergency plan is available to get help straight away.
We found out later that a really nice, an modern, hospital was available in the same town but manager had no clue about it.

After the incident no a single call from the owners of the camp and no even a call to the hospital in Nairobi to show some kind of concern about their client.

They were quick about cashing our cheque but no even an email saying sorry and asking how my mother was feeling.

All medical reports in Nakuru, and Nairobi , indicated severe infection caused by food poisoning. They all agreed on the fact that if i had no decided to jump in the car, and take her to a hospital, my mother would've died.

There are many lodges in kenya. Do not take your family to any place that doesn't have a Doctor available or some sort of arrangement with a hospital to get you help quickly.

In any case what can you expect from a lodge that doesn't even call you to find out if you are ok after such a serious incident ?

Today is 26th of january and still no even an apology from the Mbweha group.
