A dome home has been created to continuously accommodate 8 international volunteers who come to work in our school and care center. We host volunteers from the Western World to come to KEC and work with Mama Dolfine, teaching, cooking, farming and building lasting relations with the children as well as learning themselves about the extreme differences in this world. These volunteers pay their own fares to come to Kenya, and by making a monthly contribution, provide a positive financial impact on KEC.
We hope to reduce the hopelessness and despair in this community by giving a more meaningful existence through education and interaction with the outsiders. It will be a hub for like-minded people who want to widen their horizons and make an impact in this world, while living in harmony with the surrounding environment and local community.

Wooooow ☀️ our Bora Pamoja Summer Camp ended yesterday with a wonderful fire ceremony and dancing around the bonfire 🔥the children and the team had two amazing weeks and we are so grateful for everyone who made this happen 🌈😊🙏🏽 a special thank you to the team of CMT 💕 who sponsored the whole camp! Todays pillar in our summer camp is “humility” 😌🌺 The children shared stories when they experienced humility and when they've been humble ☀💕 Their stories touched our hearts... here are two:
“Our manager in the school is normally doing the administrative work in the office, but whenever she’s needed, she also helps in the kitchen. Right now during the summer camp she helps cooking and serving the food for breakfast, lunch and supper, despite the role and all the other tasks she has officially.”
“Our principle in secondary school eats the same food that we eat every day. And if there is not enough salt for everyone, he also doesn’t take salt. For me, that’s humility.”

Day 2 of the Korando Bora Pamoja Summer Camp for our older students ☀️🌈 the kids learnt about the pillar “determination” and shared their stories and dreams with the other kids, volunteers and mentors. It was an emotional session and we’re grateful for every story that was shared with us 🙏🏽😊 in the afternoon they learned how to sew skirts, shorts and reusable sanitary towels 👗👖😄 an amazing day that ends right now with a huge bonfire 🔥😄 @ Korando Educational Centre

The second camp started today whooopiiiiiie 😄☀️🤗 class 7 and 8 and the secundary pupils will spend this week with our volunteers from Spain and the mentors in Korando. The last day of our summer camp for class 1-6 ended with an awesome presentation of dancing, singing, poems and a fashion show 🕺🏾😄🎉 we’re super happy and grateful 🙏🏽 it was an amazing experience for the children as well as for the mentors, volunteers and the team! 🤗🌈
