" Wow! I had the vegetarian breakfast which was incredible! It was a huge portion and could have fed 2 people. The atmosphere was so nice and I loved the music! "

" Delicious although slightly oversized portions, could make smaller meals and drop the price by a dollar and would be perfect.
Lovely atmosphere with nice background music playing, fresh flowers were a nice addition. Staff were friendly. Oddly they have an iced mocha and do hot coffees but couldn't do a hot mocha.
If you want to save money could share something like the veggie hash, my husband only managed about half of it. "

" French press coffee (large) good value $1. Nicely cooked & presented breakfasts free filtered water, pleasant staff. Gets busy. Google map address correct street 726, but placed location wrong-placed on street 736 by the pond not street 726; i’ve suggested an edit "

" ur family had a nice breakfast at Ellie's. The smoothies, toasties and big breakfast were all good. They also make decent coffee (even for Australians, the fussiest coffee drinkers in the world).

The only areas of improvement is for the staff to pay attention to who arrives first and serve customers in the order they arrive. Our table and another table were served after another party that arrived well after us.
The only thing stopping Ellie's from getting 5 stars was that they still allow people to smoke. It is a shame more restaurants are not following Riki Tavi's lead and banning smoking altogether. Smoking is not just an annoyance to other customers trying to eat but it is a serious HEALTH issue, especially for young children. "

" Too expensive and too much for tourists. This could be a place anywhere in the world, it has nothing of Cambodia. Prices are high compared to the size of the portion you get. Very very tailored to the wealthy backpacker who likes to travel foreign countries and eat mainly western food. If you like it, it's a great place.
Smelled of weed in the morning, not the best smell for breakfast. And at all cost avoid the French press coffee. Unless you like to drink coffee grains, as the filter in the press is broken. I returned the first one in hope that it was just a mistake, but second one was even worse. See picture of my cup. But the owner was really sorry and took it off the bill.
So go there if you like food from back home and don't care too much about the price. Otherwise look somewhere else. "

" This place was charging asst the high send of prices for the area bit I wasn't impressed with the food.
Large serves. Offers free water on arrival. Coffee is espresso and got. Smoothies were very watery /Icey not milky.
The deco is quaint. Service was slow.
It seemed a popular choice. "

" Great breakfast, good portions and quality for a reasonable price. 1$ huge French press coffee is always a great start of the day! "

" Had e very good breakfast sandwich with the sausage. Staff is friendly, WiFi is fast and coffee is pretty good. Could definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a good and fairly priced breakfast. "

" A must for breakfast and lunch. Everytime I've visited Kampot a stop a Ellie's is key to getting into the comfort of the city. "

" Tasty western food, quiet laid back atmosphere, good for laptop work. I had a chicken sandwich with three times as much chicken as the locals will give you and a peanut butter banana shake - yeah! "

" Nice quiet location, one street away from the main restaurants. More laid back street with less traffic. Basic deco but potted plants outside very neglected and wilting. Had the Americano coffee (2.75) and the BIG breakfast ($6). Coffee was really nice and not too strong. The BIG breakfast was not that much bigger than what other places sell. Only thing really BIG about it is the plate. The (small) slither of bacon was overcooked and tough. The eggs were also overcooked and yolks solid. The hash brownie was just lumpy mashed potato, shaped, and quickly fried only on one side. No mention on the menu that the mushroom came mixed with spinach! And the tomatoes was just 2 slices of tomato. No paper napkins or toothpicks insight so you have to ask for basic stuff. The most expensive Full English Breakfast in Kampot and for $6 it's a pretty mean affair and they are obviously making a high profit. Sorry, but that will be my only visit.

" Best food I've had in a while in Cambodia and best seasoning. Vegetarian breakfast is huge and delicious. Totally recommend. They also have wifi and the environment is super chilled and fresh, also good for a coffee and some reading or working from your computer. "

" Ellie's definitely has a woman's touch, Ellen, the owner, has the cafe, crockery detail & wall art pieces fine tuned. Laid back atmosphere. Health conscious food menu with generous portions. I like the shop at the back selling beautiful cushion covers & clothes. "

" Delicious, and worth every penny. Vegetarian friendly, and filling portion sizes. We tried their Big Smoothie and it was possibly the best smoothie I've ever had. You'll have to be patient if you come during peak times though, because it's a small place and good food takes time. "

" Friendly, laid back place. Strong vegetarian breakfast options and good coffee. No one is rushing around here but if you aren't either then it's an ideal spot. Also try Simple Things down the road. "
