" One of the most comfortable guest houses I've stayed in while in SE Asia. Comfy bed with big duvet and nice pillows. Friendly staff, cheap prices. Best location for many restaurants and the big market. Pretty good wifi, ice cold beer. Even had a locked gate so we could park our motorcycle without worrying. "

" I had a very comfortable stay! Comes with a fan and private bathroom. Working hot water. Pretty good wifi. Room had no strange smell/mold. Hangers. Tv (old but working). Windows with mesh. Great location - near the market and the only restaurants on the long stretch of street. Staff speak English. Only thing is that we were on the first floor and some people liked to smoke in front of our window - would be nice to make it non smoking (wishful thinking). Also the motorbikes for rent are old (but working). Might be a bit noisy for some. "

" Uncomfortable rooms with small tank of hot water that only lasts a few minutes. Barely enough time for one person to shower. Wifi connects but too slow to do much. Noisy chickens crowing all night and morning. Noisy staff having breakfast party in courtyard yelling while sitting next to each other for two hours. Had to get up and remind them there are guests. Finally trying to catch a few hours sleep late morning. My locked door was opened twice and I was woken up by cleaning staff. Uh I'm sleeping!Final straw for one star review. Late at night before paid 110,000K each for two forward bus tickets (actual cost 85,000 plus a 7:30am tuktuk to station). Got up at 6am and asked if he'd called in order yet. He hadn't. Oh good the room was noisy and uncomfortable so maybe I'll sleep in and change to the night bus? He said it cost 15,000 more for that bus but probably would be a sleeper. Then when checking out at noon was told to pay extra K70,000 for tickets and told it would definitely be a sleeper bus. Really dude? I thought you were eating the commission for all the Bullshit that kept me up and made me change buses. ITurned out to be an overcrowded minivan without seats for my companion and I. 6 people crammed into four seats?! That don't recline?? Even worse with people sitting in the aisles taking up the leg room. Im the tallest person by a foot stuck in back in a seat with no legroom and I somehow paid more than people sitting upfront in the captains seats? Poor quality rooms is to be expected. The going commission for phoning in a bus ticket in Laos is usually a buck and they always reserve me a decent seat with legroom. But 70,000 and sticking me in the back with two extra people crammed in? You can bet I'm asking the van to stop as we pass and ask for your commission back. You don't deserve a commission of you screw up a rez. The hospitality industry seems to be aloof in this Province with most places doubling their fees while not doing anything extra in service or quality of room. I would avoid staying at this establishment. In fact I would avoid this Province altogether. The prices are as high as Vientiane but they have no hospitality training nor basic things like heat in rooms. For the price they're charging I've had Heat and AC in the Capitol. For what I paid for a four day stay in Phonsavan I'd just as soon have done a Homestay in a Hmong village. The reason I didn't is I thought I'd get wifi, heat, hot water, no farm animals or parties keeping me up at night. Didn't get any of that. "
