Welcome to Caracalla dance school! Our institution has earned the reputation in the dance world as a beacon of excellence in dance education. Its direct affiliation with Caracalla dance Theatre has made our dance school an enriching culture and artistic experience. We pride ourselves with our professional faculty and the diversity in our techniques. Our culture and heritage is secured in our unique dance style “Style Caracalla” which is solely taught at our institutions. Our expansive faculty allows for the diversification of dance forms with teachings in Folklore, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Classical ballet, contemporary modern, creative dance for children, Pilates, Yoga, as well as international workshops and much more. Students who enter the magical doors of Caracalla Dance School are introduced to an array of techniques and dance expression. We are an institution that aims to embellish the Art of dance and we are committed to provide excellence.

HOW WE STARTED

Our School history has emerged from the admirable journey of Caracalla Dance Theatre. Founded in 1968 by Abdel-Halim Caracalla the company base was a small studio that offered classes to company members as well as passionates for the dance world. Classes were taught by Maestro Caracalla based upon the Martha Graham dance disciplines blended with Arabic heritage. The 25 years of war halted the scheduled classes but did not put a stop to the message and journey of CDT. In 2000 upon her return from the United States, Alissar caracalla daughter of Abdel-Halim, resumed her own message. Her dream was to re-creating in Lebanon the dance experience she had abroad at great institutions such as UCLA World arts and culture department, The Edge performing arts center, Broadway dance Center, London school of contemporary dance and more. The school re-opened its doors to welcome a group of 50 students thriving to learn the multi-dance languages of the world, the energy, expertise, passion and belief has led the school to be the home of over 1500 students present day who come to Caracalla Dance School to escape in the beautiful world of the Art of dance.
