The Rotary Club of St. Lucia (RCSL) was sponsored/chartered in 1966 by the Rotary Club of Cheshire, England and years later, RCSL sponsored/chartered the Rotary Club of St. Lucia South (1975) and later the Rotary Club of Gros Islet (1993) and the family grew through youth clubs called Rotaractors and Interactors. Not long from now, RCSL will be the first club in the District to charter an Early Act Club for young children between the ages of 5-13, as we believe in an early start for the growth of a Nation. Together the Rotary family in St. Lucia has served and continues to serve St. Lucia well.The Rotary Club of St. Lucia's humanitarian work over the past half century has dealt with poverty, food and water needs as well as, Education, Health and Wellness. Projects ranged from eradication of Bilharzia, Mobile Blood Banks, Water Storage Tanks, Hospital Equipment, Secondary and Tertiary Scholarships and other community and Youth work, including a Mobile Youth Clinic, to name a few. Our club serves as a model promoting the highest standards attainable. A Four-way test ‘formula' guides our International membership. The creed which states: ‘Of the things we think say or do – Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?' While the organization's motto is ‘Service above Self'.
