The Caribbean Centre for Research on Trade and Development (CCRTD) is a think tank dedicated to promoting holistic approaches to sustainable development in CARICOM. The Caribbean's first grassroots think tank, the Centre is committed to promoting holistic approaches to development goals in CARICOM, backed by strong empirical research.Given the political, economic and social challenges in the region, it is integral that we promote innovative thinking and workable, cost effective strategies for:- wider and deeper integration;- long-term social and economic policies;- trade policies that support domestic policy goals;- sustainable development;- energy policies that minimize environmental impact;- adapting to climate change;- a vibrant and diverse agricultural sector.The Centre also seeks to educate and engage civil society in reshaping institutions, developing social infrastructure and enhancing rule of law. To this end, we hope to support the development of an innovative, forward-thinking society.
