Update on charging stations.

1) 2018 Leaf charging issue in Setec chargers has been fixed. The fix is currently applied to Nittambuwa, Kadawatha and Gampola fast chargers. They would be applied to all stations eventually.

2) Kottawa station is working on 30KW

3) Ja-Ela station is back to 20KW

4) Mahara Kadawatha station is permanently removed

5) Polgolla station is permanently removed.

Removed stations will be relocated in better locations in due course and will be notified.

Next round of planned activities.

1) Welisara fast charger which has to be removed from the fuel station on the insistence of Ceypetco has now found a nearby better location. This station would be opened back very soon.

2) Nittambuwa will be back on 30KW (currently 20KW)

3) Jayasiri Motors (Mawanella) will be fixed. However, even right now, there are so many active fast chargers on Kandy road.

4) Rathmalana charging station will come online.

Please setup online top-up facility on your app to help station owners move into the fully automated mode. Green app supports PayApp platform for account to account transfers (from any bank), PayEasy platform for credit/debit card transactions (from any bank) and SampathVishwa.

Kadawatha Charger is back!

Pearl Embroidery GF fast charger off the highway exit in Kadawatha town is back. It now boasts a newer and a bigger fast charger to cater the new year travel in Kandy Road and Kadawatha-Mathara highway.

All main routes in the country are now covered. Please have your green cards topped up and you will be alright. This is our new year gift to all EV lovers! :-)

We will be back with much bigger good news soon after the new year. Stay tuned..

Galle Aradhana station is back as an emergency relief for the new year! Hope this would be of a help for southern bound travelers in new year. Please keep in mind following :

1) Petrol station is busy and usually do not answer phone, but is open 24 hours. Use the Green app to check the charger status.

2) This is a temporary arrangement only for the new year season, we will be moving the charger later to a better location in Galle!

Welisara SRB Traders Fast Charger Joins Green Frontiers Network.

Welisara Fast Charger get automated and is now available 24/7 ! Another automated fast charger is now available in Colombo-Negambo road and on Airport road for Green Card users. Another little new year gift from us!

We welcome SRB to the GF Family!

In our knowledge, there were five independent fast chargers in the country and one of them is out of service now. All the others have now joined with GF network.

Lot of Thanks to Mr Vipula, Mr Sisura Siripala, Madusara and Hasiru.

Please make sure to collect your green card and get it topped up and ready to take advantage of automated stations.

There will be no operating personal serving during new year holidays. Cards can be collected from your nearest GF stations, including these new automated stations of Ja-Ela and Welisara.

Status of Fast Chargers

While we are racing against time to fix/upgrade some of existing chargers and even to introduce few new ones ahead of the new year, even right now all main routes stay covered. No need to panic!

Here's the situation report.

Make sure you have the Green Cards topped up, most charging stations will not have operators in new year holidays.

Colombo - Kandy Main chargers on this road currently are Pilimathalawa and Nittambuwa both are fast and fully automated. In addition, there is the Mahara Kadawatha charger. We are also trying to bring back Kadawatha Pearl Embroidary charger as well to the mix before new year. This route is reasonably covered. Nothing to worry over.

Mawanella Anwarama charger is currently down but there are many chargers covering this route already.

Colombo Kurunagala Mahara -Kadawatha, Nittambuwa and Kurunagala charger all in place to support this route

Colombo - Galle Kottwa (kinro), Rathmalana, Moratuwa (Ganthera) and Panadura all in place. We are trying to increase the speed of Panadura charger and to temporarily bring back (this can not be guranteed!) the Galle Aradhana charger before new year. All automated.

Colombo - Negambo. There are several fast chargers in this route. We are trying to automate few of them and upgrade as well before new year.

Colombo - Nuwara Eliya Gampola Atabage fast charger is in good order. Automated and 24/7

Colombo - Rathnapura RTS is working. Not automated but 24/7 as usual.

A kind request for users. In case you see a problem in a FC please call the hotline number. If it is busy, please feel free to leave a sms. If you are with internet or email, info@green-frontiers.net or leave a message on GF FB page. These are the steps which will contribute most towards improving the situation for the better.

In case of an accident or crime happening at road, we know the best cause of action would be to call an ambulance or police first. We have our rights to just post the scene on FB and walk away, while it will get us attention, it is not the most efficient way of making things better. Hope we have an agreement on this! :-)

Green Frontiers iPhone App is now available!

Today, another one of our long-standing promises is being fulfilled. Green Frontiers iOS app is out.

Also, to make it extra interesting and to exceed expectation as we always try to do, we have included a new feature into it, which would allow you to Start/Stop the charger directly from your smartphone!

This new feature will soon come to Android version too. If you are in one of our newest chargings stations (Nittambuwa or Moratuwa) you can try out this feature!

Anyway, with or without new feature, we hope our Apple users will be happy at last. We need Expo Client App on our phones to install Green Frontiers App which runs on top of that framework. Assuming your device has iOS version 9 or higher, here's how to do it.

1) Go to App store and search for expo client. As soon as you type 'expo' in your app store search it will usually come as the very first search result. Install it. (screenshot 2)

2) Open the Expo app. Click the option "select the QR code", select the QR code of the Green App. (screenshots 3) just focus your phone on the provided QR code in this post (screenshot 4). You will need the QR code to appear on your PC/Laptop screen or on a printed paper. Once you are done, Green Frontiers app will appear as can be seen in screen 4.

3) For additional security, at the start, Green Frontiers App will ask you to Register your information and select a password. Do this, this is only for the very first time.

And you are done !!

For those users who are already registered in the mobile UI, just enter your vehicle number and phone number in the exact way you entered them to register in the mobile UI and your past record will be automatically linked with the new iPhone account
