Flowers of Summer began in 1986 as a quaint little shop on Dharmapala Mawatha, where the immensely talented Janaki de Soysa first displayed her remarkable ability to transform ordinary flowers into spectacular works of art. This brilliant facility brought her instantaneous recognition among her contemporaries and led to the successful establishment of her maiden business venture.

Today, Janaki is considered one of Sri Lanka’s leading ladies in the realm of entrepreneurship and floral art, having received the Zonta Woman of Achievement Award (1993), the Woman’s Chamber of Industry & Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year Award (2002) and the SAARC Woman of Excellence Award for ‘Floral Art’ (2002). Over the years, she has touched the lives of many individuals through the presentation of her elegant and stunningly innovative creations at birthdays, anniversaries, weddings,beauty pageants and corporate events.

Flowers of Summer currently comprises a proficient team of 23 professionally/personally trained florists that continue to be led by Janaki’s ever-imaginative touch.
