IGL Lanka Limited trades in Bullion both retail and wholesale facilitating investors the opportunity to benefit from the investment of bullion. The company deals in 999 pure gold - 24k bullion bars and coins. (100g, 8g, 5g and 1g) Depending on the customer requirements, the company will also make arrangements to deal with 22k coins from time to time.
Further to this, IGL also act as an intermediary for bullion purchase and sale between two parties for which a fee will be charged.
The customer base for IGL has been the jewelers for manufacturing purposes, and retail buyers who buy gold for investment. Further, IGL Lanka looks to concentrate on corporates who can use bullion as a tool for diversifying their investment portfolio. Currently IGL manages a bullion portfolio of approximately a Rs. 400 million on behalf of Amana Takaful PLC.

IGL also offers insured custodian facility of gold only for its customers. And a custodian certificate will be issued to the respective customer. Customers can, at their election, choose to take delivery of their gold at any time.
