අගෝස්තු 5 වන දින සුබ අස්න – ශු. ජොහාන් 6:24-35
24 ජේසුස් වහන්සේ වත්, ශ්‍රාවකයන් වත් එහි නො සිටි බව සමූහයා දුටු කල, ඔව්හු ඒ ඔරුවලට නැඟී ජේසුස් වහන්සේ සොයමින් කපර්ණවුමට පැමිණියාහ. 25 මුහුදෙන් එගොඩ දී උන් වහන්සේ හමු වී, ”ගුරුදේවයෙනි, ඔබ මෙහි වැඩියේ කොයි වේලේ දැ”යි ඔව්හු ඇසූ හ. 26 ජේසුස් වහන්සේ පිළිතුරු දෙමින්, ”ඒකාන්තයෙන් මම ඔබට කියමි, ඔබ මා සොයන්නේ හාස්කම් දුටු නිසා නොව, රොටි කා තෘප්තියට පැමිණි නිසා ය. 27 නැති වී යන ආහාරය සඳහා නොව, සදාතන ජීවනයට ඉවහල් වන ආහාරය සඳහා වීර්ය වඩන්න. ...මේ ආහාරය ඔබට ප්‍රදානය කරන්නේ මනුෂ්‍ය-පුත්‍රයාණෝ ය. පියාණන් වන දෙවියන් වහන්සේ මුද්‍රාව තබා ඇත්තේ උන් වහන්සේ මත ය”යි වදාළ සේක. 28 එබැවින් ඔව්හු, ”දෙවියන් වහන්සේගේ අභිප්‍රාය අනුව වැඩ කරන පිණිස අප කුමක් කටයුතු දැ”යි ඇසූ හ. 29 ජේසුස් වහන්සේ පිළිතුරු දෙමින්, ”දෙවියන් වහන්සේගේ අභිප්‍රාය වනුයේ, උන් වහන්සේ එවා වදාළ තැනැත්තාණන් ඔබ විසින් අදහාගැනීම ය”යි වදාළ සේක. 30 එවිට ඔව්හු, ”එසේ නම්, අප විසින් දැක අදහාගන්නා පිණිස ඔබ කවර හාස්කමක් දක්වන සේක් ද? කවර ක්‍රියාවක් කරන සේක් ද? 31 අපේ පියවරු පාළුකරයෙහි දී මන්නා කෑහ. ‘බුදින පිණිස එතුමෝ ඔවුන්ට ස්වර්ගයෙන් ආහාර සැපයූහ’යි ලියා ඇතැ”යි උන් වහන්සේට කී හ. 32 එවිට ජේසුස් වහන්සේ, ”ඒකාන්තයෙන් මම ඔබට කියමි, ස්වර්ගයෙන් ඔබට ආහාරය දුන්නේ මෝසෙස් නොවේ; ස්වර්ගයෙන් සැබෑ ආහාරය දෙන්නේ මාගේ පියාණන් වහන්සේ ය. 33 මන්ද, දෙවියන් වහන්සේ දෙන ආහාරය වනාහි, ස්වර්ගයෙන් පහළ වී ලෝකයට ජීවනය දෙන ආහාර ය”යි වදාළ සේක. 34 ඔව්හු ද, ”ස්වාමීනි, ඒ ආහාරය නිතර ම අපට දුන මැනවැ”යි කී හ. 35 ජේසුස් වහන්සේ කතා කොට, ”ජීවනදායක ආහාරය මම ය, මා වෙත පැමිණෙන යමෙක් වේ ද, ඔහුට සාගිනි නොවන්නේ ය. මා අදහන යමෙක් වේ ද, ඔහුට කිසි කලෙකත් පිපාසය නොවන්නේ ය.
