The society has been established on 1st of July 1909. And it is celebrating its 107th anniversary in 2016.From 1990 to 1999 the society had published an annual magazine called “Diwasa”.
From 2000, the annual magazine’s name changed as “SCi-CLONE”, and it was a remarkable achievement which scored by RCSA in the new millennium.
“SCi-ZONE”, the only school science museum, was established in Sri Lanka by RCSA. As the most phenomenal event which implemented by RCSA, “SCi-EVE” was a success in 1960 for the first time, and it was consecutive up to 2015.
We are also happy to mention RCSA was the first school science society which concerned about the outstation schools and the society acted a main role for the development of knowledge in science
