Our brother Ali Banet has sadly passed away. After a courageous battle with cancer he has succumbed to his illness.
Br. Ali took us on an incredible journey throughout his ordeal. He described his illness as a 'gift' from Allah and used this as an opportunity to turn his life around and dedicate the time he had left to helping the poor and needy.
...
He was given only seven month to live by doctors, but Allah had other plans for him. Through is charitable work and humanitarian efforts, he had changed lives and put smiles on people's faces.
He has returned to Allah in the blessed month of Ramadan and we pray that he has returned purified, forgiven and well pleased.
