" It was an amazing journey. A beautiful and peaceful place. Separately want to combine our guide. Gayan Geeth gave us an interesting excursion and showed us the beauty of this place. "

" The park was declared to conserve the montane ecosystems. Field Ornithology Group of Sri Lanka considers that the Victoria park of Nuwara Eliya and the Galway's Land as two of the most significant birding sites in Sri Lanka. Galway's Land harbours about 20 rare migrant bird species and 30 native species. Apart from the avifauna, the park has valuable floral species of both native and foreign origin. Galway Forest Lodge is located close to the park. "

" Great Place for short trip in the wilderness. This was the royal forest park for the king Currently a forest sanctuary. There is an information center located inside the forest. There's a entrance fee that has to be paid at the gate. internal walkways are well marked and named. "

" We had a fantastic tour with Buddhi! We arrived very early and he was very friendly and accommodating to let us wait at his home and offered us coconuts. The boat he uses is paddled by him and his Brother so no pollutants in the water. Cushions, life jackets, table, biscuits and a bird guide book provided. The bird sanctuary is very peaceful and relaxing to float through, the scenery is very nice and very clean. This is a bird watchers heaven, there are so many species to be spotted, 150 in the sanctuary. Buddhi has an amazing eye for spotting them, he is very passionate about his work and we saw a total of 48 species!! 3 species of kingfisher in less than 1 minute (including our favourite the Pied Kingfisher) and a snake! He even provides a tick list of what has been seen which is a great addition to the tour. We took the tour in the afternoon a good time to see the beautiful sunset, we climbed up some rocks, a short walk, to reach an amazing view point. We can't recommend this tour enough. Buddhi is the guy to go with, he even taught us how to play flute, he was very good, he even invited us to join his friends for food afterwards.

Thanks Buddhi! Our best day in Sri Lanka! And a new friend! "

" Great place for bird watching. Best visited in the September - April season. Western lagoon is muddy and there is a risk of sinking in. Best visited in morning or evening. "

" Great place for birdwatching. There are 2 lagoons; for the western one, i took a boat tour (6-30am) with local guide Gayan; i also spent one morning viewing the western lagoon from atop Taragala Rock (near Taragala Chalets); i visited the eastern lagoon, Lunama Kalapuwa, via Ussangoda, and saw plenty of birds arriving just before sunset, and occupying the trees around. " One of the most untouched birding spots. Must take a paddle boat ride to enjoy the calmness and beauty. Beach is also very clean. "
