We are a small group of people who are interested in nothing but merits, helping up lift our holy religion Buddhism in Srilanka .

In short,
Each year we select a poor, less privileged temple in a distant area of Srilanka, fulfill the lacking needs of that temple, sponsor and hold the katina ceremony of that year, help the poor villagers too and hand over the temple to the ven.thero and the villagers and come back.

This charity society, කළණ මිතුරු සංසදය was established and initiated by
Mr. Dharmadasa Somasiri (former AGM of SLLRDC and a teacher).
After his demise , Mr. Sanjeewa Kaviratna of Horana metro lions club is holding the current presidency .

This is how it works;
� We choose a poorly benefited temple in a far end of the island for the year, and fulfill its constructional deficiencies throughout the year,
� help the poorest of poor villagers with a hamper of dry food,
� give a gift parcel (with health education) to all the pregnant mothers of the chosen area ,
� bear the expences and hold that year's කඨින පූජා මහෝත්සවය of the selected temple,
� offer the කඨින දානේ for all on that day....
� handover the construction to the temple and village (ජනතා අයිතියට පැවරීම) and come back...
