At LIHSAPR we educate, intervene, and advocate for drug-free communities by delivering effective and sustainable research-based programs and develop youth leaders through coaching and mentorship all gear towards the attainment of a drug free Liberia. Our mission is to work to reduce or prevent drug and substance abuse in Liberia through data-driven programs that educate, intervene, and advocate for the promotion of a drug-free culture.Our Vision is to save our generation and future generations from the danger of substance abuse by building a sustainable structure and regime that maintains an alcohol and drug-free culture in Liberia. Our Theories of Change: 1. Continuous researching the trends and patterns of substance abuse in our communities and publishing these findings is an effective tool for redesigning our approaches, developing new strategies, and providing stakeholders with vital data that will inform policy decisions. 2. Ensuring that all children irrespective of background, social status, and location have access to substance abuse prevention education and skill training is one of the most effective guarantors of social change aim at fostering a drug-free society. 3. Increasing awareness about the danger of substance abuse; and the deepening of self-worth and esteem of adolescents is leverage for reducing the risk of experimenting with substances. 4. Increasing opportunity for single mothers to receive support in helping them bring up their kids and protect them from the danger of falling prey to substance abuse through quality family-based prevention programs is a tool in reducing substance abuse and greatly impact household livelihood. 5. Increasing a community drug-free culture outcomes and empowerment is not something we do for communities; it is something we do with them. Our key focus is prevention as we believe that prevention is by far cheaper and life-saving then cure. In real sense, the vaccine of prevention is the best cure!
