Karaweik Palace is one of Yangon’s many landmarks which attracts foreigners with its impressive Karaweik Birds structure on Kandawgyi Lake. The Palace was completed in 1974. From far, the palace looks like huge golden birds floating on the lake. At night, once the barge is lit up,the view of the palace on the lake is very stunning and breathtaking.
