" Too many tourists, crowded. Very flaky and also oily crust, egg custard is too sweet for me. I still prefer Hong Kong styled egg tart with a cookie crust. The line moved quickly, if you happen to pass by it is worth a try. "

" It's one of the 'Foodie' things to do it Macau, to come the Margaret's and have an egg tart. You may find a massive queue of people waiting in line to buy the tarts.
The egg tarts are nice but don't really live up to the hipe. Best to go early or not at all. In the mornings there isn't much of a wait, and much more enjoyable to have the tarts seated out front on the quiet back street where the bakery is located. "

" In Vienna there are two restaurants, which for about 186 years, have claimed that they invented the "Sacher torte" [a variation of the chocolate cake]-- and "chef Sacher" worked at both bakeries.... Macau has their version of this rivalry- revolving around "Portuguese style egg tarts"-- but here the two bakers were, at one time married!!
Both tarts are really good-- but I favoured "Lord Stow's", as the crust seemed "to work better"!! Try them both-- and you be the judge as to which you find "best"!! "

" Expect queues but they move rather swiftly. The poa tat is a bit disappointing. The puff is too soft and doesn’t offer enough crunch. The egg isn’t the right consistency and overall the taste is exceedingly average. I guess it’s worth trying at least once but don’t expect your taste buds to be tickled. "

" Although the staff aren't very friendly, the tarts are great. Not too sweet. There were two lines when I went, one for ordering and one for pick-up. You order and then keep the receipt and join the pick-up queue. It is also very fresh. "
