Roots is a vegetarian food truck based on the island of Malta. We love exploring the diverse, colourful and incredibly tasty world of vegetables.

Our philosophy is simple. We will seek out the best local and organically grown produce in Malta and intend to offer simple and flavorful dishes whilst being as environmentally conscious as possible.
At Roots we share a passion for vegetarian cooking. On our van you will find freshly prepared vegetable based dishes that usually focus on one or two key ingredients. We take our inspiration from the wonderful produce, spices and flavors from all over the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
Our aim is to be as environmentally friendly as possible whilst operating our van. We will only use compost friendly packaging and will dispose of all our organic waste responsibly. On top of this our van is powered by 2 solar panels which completely eliminates our need to use a generator. It has been dubbed by locals as the eco-kitchen on wheels and we are proud to say our truck is completely self sufficient.
Expect to find us in Mriehel, St Julians and various events around Malta.
