" It started out 3-4 months prior to our vacation, we found the newly build guesthouse with very beautiful pictures online. Oddly we had to pay the entire price then and there, which makes sense afterwards as we would have left Air dhiffushi if at all possible. 3 days prior to leaving we wrote to Air dhiffushi asking about getting to the island, and they replied with an increased speedboat price than what we had agreed when booking the room (from 200 to 260USD) and said we would be met by the manager named Zaid in the airport. As we had no choice we agreed to the ferry, but complained about the price. We then head nothing back. We had a transfer in Doha and wrote to them again - heard nothing back. We got to Malé and there's nobody to pick us up! After travelling for 10 hours with 2 small children that is not what you hope for. We try to find a telephone number for Air dhiffushi, but they don't have one! After 1 hour trying, a staff from another resort (the Maldivians are VERY helpful and sweet) calls a guy from the same island as Air dhiffushi, who runs to the guesthouse to let them know that we're stranded at the airport. They then send a boat, but it takes another hour for it to get there, then 45 minutes to sail back to the island. When we get there, they tell us that they have made a mistake and overbooked Air dhiffushi, so we have to stay at a hotel (Rashu Hiyaa) instead. We still hadn't heard anything from Libertine Travel at this point. We find out that the hotel we stay in is half the price of Air dhiffushi. So great deal for Libertine Travel.
It turned out to be a really good hotel (Rashu Hiyaa) with great staff and clean rooms. So i would recommend just going there instead. And it's half the price, even with a tv! So we stay there for 3 nights and are then transferred to Air dhiffushi. We never met the manager Zaid, but another staff (bambo) was very helpful and sweet. It was, though, very disapointing to get to Air dhiffushi. There's sand everywhere in the hall and rooms, there's no cleaning of the rooms, the toilet couldn't flush, the water smelled of sewage both in the shower and from the toilet inside the room, there was no staff on site, so you can't leave the room key while bathing at the beach or have new towels or getting the wifi password or complaining about anything (i guess that's on purpose). You have to catch the staff when they're walking by or getting something at the guesthouse. Very disapointing and not a fair way to treat your guests. There's no guard rail on the top bed in the family room, so our 4 year old fell down from up there. Luckily she fell on a suitcase and only hurt her bum and not her head or spine. It is such an easy fix, but Air dhiffushi just don't care. The breakfast was very basic (see picture) but almost the same price as the buffet breakfast at the hotel(Rashu Hiyaa), so i recommend just going to the hotel and have breakfast there. The hotels also have sunbeds on the beach for you to use and beach towels. Libertine Travels does not.
Long story short: Don't go here. Go to Rashu Hiyaa or one of the other guesthouses (The White Sand Beach guesthouse/hotel also looked very nice and had great staff and kitchen). You will be better service and have a better vacation. They're all located the same place next to a very good childfriendly beach. "
