" A beautiful park adjacent to the republic square. And the sultan mosque. Ideal place ro visit in the evenings. Dancing fountain, swings for the kids or just to sit in the park.

" Before it was renovated, when this place was known as Sultan Park, this was a beautiful green space, open to anyone. Now that it's been reopened, the place is covered is garish coloured lights, using a lot of electricity, and it is now not free for foreigners to access. Maldivians can access the park free of charge, but there is now a quite high fee for foreigners, meaning that migrant workers can no longer acess the park because they cannot afford the entrance fee. "
