Turquise water and white sand . The snorkeling Trips and in general trips are Great and we Loved them all so far . The locals on the island are insanely friendly and open
for guests and there is even a bakery and a cafe in town . The eco structure of the hotel is also really amazing and outstanding ! The buffet and food is really tasty and fresh . We are having a perfect stay and will definetly retourn. "

" The Barefoot Eco Hotel is an amazing place in the Maldives!
It's not your traditional Maldivian resort, since it is situated in an island with a village (normally resorts are located in private islands). This adds greatly to the whole experience! If you are the type of person that likes to learn about the local culture of the places where you travel, this is a perfect combination.
The hotel does a lot of work to support the local community, such as hiring locals, providing free training for people to work in the tourist industry, tours into the local village, cooking shows hosted by locals and others.
The hotel also tries to minimize its footprint in the environment. For instance, the hotel doesn't sell any drinks in plastic bottles.
The location is stunning! You clearly get this sense of being off the grid, in a tropical place. We saw turtles, harmless sharks, different kind of rays (manta, eagle, sting), tropical fishes and dolphins. The hotel offers different daily programs to get up close to these, as well as to visit nearby historical places.
The food provided is delicious! It's a mix of Italian with influences of local cuisine. On Friday's, is Maldivian night and you can have a full Maldivian dinner experience.
Finally the staff makes the whole experience 5 stars! Everyone, from the reception, to the restaurant to the diving center was friendly and helpful!
We spent there almost two weeks and had the time of our lives. We will definitely return, if we have the chance. "

" I have booked the hotel 6 months prior our wedding celebration journey using booking, 2 months before our arrival I received a cancellation from the hotel stating they are going to repair hotel and there is no way to be there during these period, and provided another option on an Island 500 m length where you have nothing to do during 11 days. We were trying to find out why they planned to repair hotel just 2 months before the and have not communicated properly and with time enough before our arrival, as 2 months before the date you can barely find something nice for a good price. We find out another good hotel a bit more expensive but it was new hotel (you can contact me to find out which one, do not want to advertise it). Neither booking was helpful nor the hotel. So bear in mind they can change their plans suddenly. Peace, Dumitru "

" Staff is very courteous, accomodation is great, everything is kept very clean and tidy. A marine biologist leads snorkeling excursions, and there is a competent and nice diving team. Only two drawbacks: the house reef is pretty far away from shore (about 400 m), and there is no alcohol on the island to respect local laws. "

" Splendido resort all'estremo nord delle Maldive, che si raggiunge dopo due ore di volo (con scalo) dalla capitale Malé.
Struttura gestita in modo perfetto, camere comode e pulite, dotate di ogni comfort.
Ottimo centro diving a gestione italiana, pronto a farvi conoscere i meravigliosi ed incontaminati punti di immersione di questa area.
Eccellente il ristorante del resort con chef di alto livello che preparano sempre piatti diversi ogni giorno.
Relativamente all'isola, purtroppo non si può dire che la stessa sia tenuta così bene come il resort, risultando sporca in parecchi punti, con cumuli di immondizie che vengono costantemente bruciati per essere smaltiti.
Per il resto l'isola è assai simile al tipico villaggio dei pescatori, ovviamente più in grande.
Nell'isola è presente uno dei due centri rilevazione tsunami delle Maldive. "
