Casa Maya was a great place to have a vacation where the food was wonderful accommodations were great and the beach was really close where you didn't have to walk far do you lay on the beach or get into the water.
We could go into town which wasn't very far and go through the mall and they have great eating places within a few miles of the Resort.
We would recommend this resort to anyone who wants to have a great vacation in the sunshine and accommodations were the best "

I have stayed at this resort for 17 weeks over the course of 20 years. I always bring quite a crowd. This trip I had a total of 10 people and we ate every meal there and gave the bars plenty of business. The front desk employee named Luis did an excellent job in getting us all checked in and did his best to get us the rooms we wanted. Then manager (she is mid 30s, braces, who wears a blue jacket ) did a fabulous job as well. The night crew was very helpful in answering questions to explore the city. The men at the front door are fantastic also. I love that the same employees are always there. Makes it feel warm and inviting to see the same people every year. The laundry services are the best. I have them wash all my clothes before I come home because their laundry detergent smells heavenly. I will be back soon, and will be bringing another group with me. "

" I chose this hotel because it got good reviews and I must say so far the reviews have been accurate. Large clean rooms. Like the free breakfast and internet. Internet is very good. Lots to choose from from the free breskfast. Nice clean beach. Made reservations using my American Advantage Miles and thought I would have gotten a room somewhere in the basement, but got a room on the 7th floor with an awesome view of the sea, hotel zone and the lagoon (see picture). "

Great view, we had an imperial suite and went with 13 people. There is a closet that can be turned into a bed, you have your own kitchen, two bathrooms per room, the beach is right outside your door. "

" Pros: The beach is amazing here. Beautiful fine white sand. Good location and hotel staff was very friendly and always nice. The food at the buffet restaurant is very good as well. Poolside pizza was also very good. We ended up staying in two rooms because of how our vacation worked and our beds in the 2 bedroom suite on the 3rd floor were fantastic. All but the pull down. The gals that work the excursion desk were always more than helpful and very pleasant.
Cons: The pull down beds were hard as a rock in both rooms we stayed in. Even our 60 lb child ended up sleeping on the couch because it was so hard. They must've been doing some remodeling because in the morning we heard all sorts of pounding which became quite annoying. Also because of where the 3rd floor suite is located men were always right outside our windows. Windows that didn't have curtains so we didn't really appreciate that. Also the parking was a pain. They have a very tiny lot close to the hotel that is almost always full. So you have to walk down the street a couple blocks where you can park in basically a fenced in field. I always felt our car was safe but didn't like the walk in the heat.
Overall I think we would keep looking for another place before staying here again. "

" If you're not 50+ years old or Mexican, you will not get good of service. Upon arriving we were "forgotten" at our table waiting for our room key as our concierge rosa helped another couple that came in after us. We got to our room and it had two full sized beds instead of the king we asked for, the floor was wet and the room smelled bad. We never complained to anyone just asked for it to be fixed and it wasn't, the beds were pushed together and that was it (which looked terrible). Will be staying at El Blanc next time. This is the first time for me leaving only one star for a review anywhere. I will say, one of the more tenured employees, from the outside bar tried to make our stay good. He is better than this hotel. I almost got into a fight with another employee, luis after making a rude sexual comment to my girlfriend as he served us our drinks. Worst hotel stay I've ever had. "

Restaurants are expensive and the food is not really good. The external one has plastic tables and chairs, it's inadequate for the prices. Waiters do not make You feel welcomed. There are no options in the nearby, so I advise not to stay for a long journey (unless you have a car). "

They must've been doing some remodeling because in the morning we heard all sorts of pounding which became quite annoying. Also because of where the 3rd floor suite is located men were always right outside our windows. Windows that didn't have curtains so we didn't really appreciate that. Also the parking was a pain. They have a very tiny lot close to the hotel that is almost always full. So you have to walk down the street a couple blocks where you can park in basically a fenced in field. I always felt our car was safe but didn't like the walk in the heat.
Overall I think we would keep looking for another place before staying here again. "
