20 years ago, I baked my first kek lapis Sarawak over a charcoal 'oven'. From whisking the eggs with the traditional huge hand whisker to baking the cake with an improvised oven, this job could easily take 8 hours.
Thanks to today's technologies, baking kek lapis is now a much more enjoyable and therapeutic experience for me. Enjoy....!

Perserverance is key when the power tripped multiple times tonight while I baked. I meanouver my way in darkness to the power board to switch it back on. After a couple of time that happened, I worried that might affect the texture of my kek lapis. Should i stop or should i continue! Its getting late and I'm started to feel a bit disheartened. With patience and hope I continued, layer upon layer and taadaa....cake looks great and making its way to Phuket tomorrow. So with challenges in life, just keep moving!

Maximum of 4 person per class. I will show you the tips and tricks to baking a perfect layer cake!
