" An hour's drive out of Miri brings you out of the city to the jungle.
It has waterfalls (two!), various jungle trails (varied difficulty & length) and lush vegetation. "

" Back to nature is in your mind? Then, off to Lambir. One of the national parks available in Miri District which is easily accessible by road, this is the place that you can enjoy yourself in waterfalls (Latak Waterfall is the nearest I've visited). It is also near to the Borneo Rainforest Resort (which is also a tourist attraction). So, kill 2 birds in one stone if you have the intention to visit both of them! "

" We went during the dry season so the waterfall is not very spectacular. Nevertheless it's still a refreshing walk through the jungle, admiring the various rainforest vegetation and stop by the nearest warerfall/ pool for a dip. "

" Lambir is a good place to visit for people looking to spend just half a day out of Miri or those looking for a nice, easy walk in nature.
The simple trails e.g. to Latak Waterfall are suitable for all, including family with small kids. The longer trails need some level of fitness and longer time to complete. "
