Place is nice. They have two floors, upper floor for all books and ground floor for stationery, etc.
A good selection of books from multiple publisher are available here. You can always check with the ever so helpful staffs if you need any help.

" I am a loyal customer of pustaka rakyat, been to Bandar Baru Ampang, Bangi and Setapak. This was my first time going to Sri Gombak but I didn't expect the staff were so bad. The moment I entered the store, I wanted to make sure they accept debit card as my cash was less than rm50. I asked "umm akak" to the SUPERVISOR (nametag written) 3 times and she was playing with her phone. Then only after the 4th time she replied to me. Then I took a basket with me. When I was searching for something, a staff took my basket. I was like "excuse me??? Tu bakul saya..." then she was like "ohh sorry ingat takda orang punya tadi". Third, they were chit chatting LOUDLY and LAUGHED LIKE DAMN PONTIANAK without considering customers in the store. I really am disappointed with the staff there. Completely opposite of other staff in BB Ampang, Bangi and Setapak. "

" This shop is packed with a delightful range of books and I thoroughly recommend anyone to have a browse here. I was looking for guides to local walks and was very impressed with the section on maps and books relating to the wonderful locality. The fiction and non fiction sections are both very well stocked. It is amazing that they can get so many books into the space. The service could not be better - welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. We would always come for a browse here.
This is also a wonderful art supply store and stationery. Thousands of pens, brushes and other art implements, inks, paints and papers of many kinds.. I went looking for a variety of brush pens to use on a particular project and found everything I wanted and much more.
They have some beautiful papers as well as specialty papers and pens for Manga artists. Rulers, and other drawing equipment as well as stencils for various purposes too. "
