" I stayed 2 nights in the camping area. They have nice campsites under acacia trees next to swakop riverbed. Extremely neat toilets and showers in communal ablution blocks. It's heaven for bird sightings! Very sympathetic staff but I got the feeling that the lady never got out of the reception because she couldn't give us clear explanations about hiking trails and 4x4. You have to pay an extra fee for driving on the 4x4 trails and don't get a map of the routes (90NAD + 25NAD pp). We did the one passing through the Python Valley which was quite fun. We saw some mountain zebras on the way. The swimming pool water wasn't clear at all and surface was also dirty. It is a bit surprising considering the amount of employees they have. It was a pleasant stay though. Perfect stopover for those traveling around this area. "
