Dear Prospective Zikites,
It is with great pleasure, we welcome you to the University of the moment, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka,Anambra State for your post utme examinations.
Please kindly take note of a few vital things you need to know during your short stay.
...
1) Unizik Post utme is computer based, avoid people who promise to send you answers in the hall. You give them your money to your own detriment.
2) If you are coming from a very far state, ensure you are around two days to the actual day of your exams, this will enable you to be relaxed before the exams and get acquainted with the environment.
3) You are advised in your own interest,not to patronise admission racketeers, there is nothing like score upgrade etc. Read your book, Pray hard and do your best in the exam hall. If you meet the requirements, you will be offered admission.
4) Avoid late nights. Don't stay out later than 7pm, school has officially closed for the session and its not so safe to move around late at night.
5) Try to know the venue of your exams, the time gor your exams and ensure you have any necessary document that woukd be needed to admit you inside the hall.
6)If you are coming from far and dont have any accommodation or you don't trust the accommodation you have,kindly contact any of the fellowship you attend for assistance. E.g Catholics-NFCS, Anglican-ASF, NIFES, NCF, RCF etc. They will be ever ready to assist you.
Finally, we wish you all journey mercies and protection as you travel and Most importantly success in your examinations.
All candidates for the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka post UTME screening examination who are scheduled for 8am today Saturday can come to the University as the Anambra State Government has instructed all enforcement agencies not to disturb vehicles conveying candidates to the University for the test. However those candidates who arrive late can still be examined as mop up later today.

UNIZIK STUDENT EMERGES TOPS IN CHINA...... Nigerian student, Anthony Ekwensi, has been crowned the African champion at the 17th Chinese Bridge Chinese Language Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students.

The grand finale of the competition took place on August 4 in Changsha, Hunan Province where Russian student Ruslan was the overall winner at the event which paraded 152 students from 118 countries.
The 21-year old Anambra-born Nigerian, who came fourth in the final competition, made it to the last round of the championship with four other contestants who were also crowned champion of their respective continents.
The other winners were Theodore Joseph from Australia who came second, Guan Huimin from Indonesia, who took the third position and John Gardner from the United States, who placed fifth. According to the organisers, the final competition consisted of three parts and tested the finalists’ language skills and all-around abilities, including their knowledge of Chinese culture, history, traditions and communication, as well as their singing and acting skills.
All five winners have been offered full scholarships by the Confucius Institute. In a telephone interview with NAN from China, Ekwensi, a final year student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, said he looked forward to returning to China to pursue a post-graduate programme.
‘‘I went into the competition because I knew there was an opportunity to do something great, and also I wanted an opportunity to visit the country I’ve always dreamed of going. My next plan now is to graduate successfully from UNIZIK and then come back to China for masters. I dedicate my award to God,’’ the final year student of Education Management and Policy said.
Ekwensi learnt the Chinese language in Nigeria for two years at the Confucius Institute, UNIZIK, Awka. (LINDA IKEJI)

Okafor Chinwe a student of the exceptional Department of Botany, from the Great Faculty of Biosciences emerged winner of the SigmaPensions Business Plan competition 8n Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Her business plan of instant zobo production that makes zobo dirnk ready in 15mins, earned her the N250,000 Prize money.
