Reading other reviews it seems that this is a normal issue with this yard, they expect people to purchase the vehicle if they test drive it!
I initially called William regarding a test drive for a vehicle at the North Shore yard, this was the first instance when the staff showed what rude and unpleasant service is. He was blunt, monotone and simply rude answering to my inquiry for a test drive of the vehicle. I felt as if I was talking to myself. It seems they only let people test drive vehicles on a booking system which is rather inconvenient as people have other things to do.
When at the car yard the staff assessed my vehicle and offered almost half of what other Auckland dealers have offered. I am not blaming them for this but am insisting that in this example the amount was ridiculously low compared to other credible dealers.
After I refused the amount proposed I said I would still like to test drive the car and would pay cash if I like it. William was plain rude in this scenario. It seemed that I was doing him an inconvenience test driving the vehicle. He was simply unpleasant to communicate to. Several times he questioned my ability to afford the vehicle I was interested in. He asked if I would require finance several times and then again asked if I would need to sell my vehicle to purchase their one. I assured him once again that I am able to afford it and questioned if he needs to see proof of funds! He answered no. This is all while getting looks from other staff just sitting around. I have never felt more judged at any other car yard despite being able to afford anything in their yard!
After getting my license photocopied I went for a test drive with him in the car. The vehicle was definitely not to my liking and after taking his directions for the test drive we returned and I let him know that I will be viewing the same type of car elsewhere before making my decision. He was reluctant to shake my hand and stormed off as soon as we stopped shaking hands. I obviously ruined his day for not purchasing the vehicle!
In summary, the staff are not friendly, judgy and act like the customer is obliged to purchase the vehicle if they are test driving! I would rather spend more money for the same vehicle than deal with these people again! "

" Great range of vehicles. But very poor customer service! All the employees including the manager is very arrogant! They all look and act like they don't want to be there. Rude and dismissive when speaking to customers and treat customers like they are a burden. Don't give proper answers when you ask questions. Refused to give service and wof paper work even post-purchase. "

" Experienced great service from Mark at Autospot North Shore during the purchase of my Mercedes. The car was well priced and the showroom also had a lot of nice looking stock. The purchase was hassle free and I am very happy with my car. About 2 weeks after purchase the car experienced a minor electrical Issue (one headlight went out, and slight glitch with the indicator), I let Mark know and it was fixed promptly by a European Specialist with no hassle or cost to myself. Would recommend. "
