" I'm here right now and giving 5 star because the room we are in I cannot fault. New carpet and drapes ,lovely and clean. Will be back ! Thanks Rayland espom. We will definitely be coming back. The reception staff are super friendly and helpful so nothing but 5 star from me. Thanks "

" The photos advertised on the website are nothing like the actual motel. Complete false advertising. Holes in the wall. Dirty walls. Blood on the curtain. Carpet is completely worn and the smell in the rooms is revolting. To be a paying guest at the motel whilst old bathrooms, toilets, carpet etc are being ripped out of other rooms and put on display outside while you are having to walk past it all to get to your room is completely unprofessional and disgusting. Update the website and advertise what you are actually offering......the cheapest, nastiest accommodation!! "

" Wow where do I start. My husband and I booked in for a 4 night stay mid October, in room 9. Arrived at 930pm after a long flight and booked in at office next door at the Ascot to stay at the Rayland. Reception friendly enough. First: no parking, then: large gap under connecting door to next room (privacy?). No sink to rinse dishes or fill kettle but milk, sugar etc was supplied. Towels and sheets looked very clean BUT a massive plastered area at bed head and fist size plastered hole higher up. Made us feel very uncomfortable. Apart from mould on the kitchen floor, lifted lino and a mouldy unstable window in the bathroom the hairdryer had bare wires and got splashed by the sink when the tap was turned on, yikes! We spent the night, being so late but booked out first thing in the morning as we would have rather have slept in the car than spend another night there. Admittedly we got our money back for three nights and they are looking into returning 50% of our first night so we appreciate the acceptance of us leaving and why. We have never left any other motel in our lives and dont mind old and even traffic noise or the inconvenience of no kitchen sink BUT COME ON this is seriously bad. And they own other properties in the area - yikes, a worry if this is their level of a good comfortable motel. Sorry Rayland, never to stay again "
