WHAT MAKES LOOKABOUT DUNEDIN DIFFERENT ?
LOOKABOUT DUNEDIN is a small group, personalised guided bus tour of Dunedin City. The tour offers a 100 minute comprehensive LOOKABOUT the city. It covers the historical centre, exclusive suburbs, colourful backstreets ( including the world steepest ), high mountain vistas, beautiful beach’s , stunning peninsula and harbour views. WITH CRUISE SHIP VISITORS IN MIND, it is designed to look into the city and see where Dunedin’s people, work, play and live. With an excellent, well researched commentary and wonderful photographic opportunities along the way, the tour aims to explore areas of the city beyond those most visitors would normally be expected to experience.
LOOKABOUT DUNEDIN CAN OFFER A HIGH QUALITY EXPERIENCE BECAUSE….The tour is operated by local multi tourism award winning personality Scott Clarke and his son Flynn. Their family arrived in Dunedin with some of the first Scottish settlers over 160 years ago and they enjoy showing off their families heritage to visitors. As the tour only operates on cruise ship days, guiding remains fresh, enthusiastic and fun. The problem of constant repetition and product delivery burnout is avoided.
The tour operates during the cruise season from October until mid April and numbers are limited to 16 per group.
There are up to 3 daily departure times when cruise ships are in port. 10.30am, 12.20pm, and the 2.10pm, which return’s passengers directly back to the ship at approx. 3.55pm. Or LOOKABOUTS BIG DAY OUT, which can be booked and departs from the I Site on the wharf at Port Chalmers. LOOKABOUTS BIG DAY OUT TOUR……. includes connections to and from the port, an initial short orientational tour of the inner city with a central city I Site drop off, then 4 hours free time and finally the 2.10pm tour returning to the ship at 3.55pm via the Scott Memorial Lookout.

The tour cost is always very reasonable and locally competitive, please check when booking. The Dunedin I site can be reached simply by catching one of the ships shuttles into the city centre.
