" In mid September 2022 my family (6 adults and 2 children) spent 2 nights in a 4 bedroomed, 3 bathroomed, cottage at Brackenridge Country retreat and Spa, Martinborough. Our stay was most enjoyable.
The accommodation was perfect in terms of the spaciousness, cleanliness, comfort and facilities/equipment provided for a family of our size. The beds were very comfortable. The heat pump and the fire kept us really warm on both of the nights that we spent there which were very cold with thick overnight frosts.
The gym and pool, which a few of the family members used were very well maintained and excellent to use.
Sue and Nicola at Reception were most accommodating and wonderful to deal with.
Two members of my family had the Brackenridge signature massage by Stacey and by Steff who were most friendly and professional and did an outstanding job. They were most accommodating in making a few changes so that both of them could have their massages at the same time.
We will gladly stay there again. "

" We stayed in the four bedroom house, along with friends for a winetasting weekend. I'd reccomend Brackenridge for the lovely setting, clean rooms and good amenities. A nice touch was the fresh food provided for breakfast and the kitchen was well appointed. It was handy too to have the availability of a barbeque.
Staff were friendly and helpful. We'd happily visit again. "

" We spent a long weekend here. The beds were nice but we were surprised at how subpar a lot of things were. The couches and chairs in the lounge were really dirty, the washing machine was really dirty and the dryer's timer didn't work, the baby cot they provided was definitely not safe for our six month old baby to sleep in (slightest movement would make it collapse), and there is a hole in the kitchen ceiling with a bucket under it (which was not a toddler friendly solution). We also found a lot of mouse droppings and other dirt under the cushions on the sofa bed. When we arrived there there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and the lint filter on the dryer was dangerously full.
We definitely wouldn't stay here again, especially for the amount of money that is charged. "

" Went for a friends wedding and the venue was amazing.Stayed onsite in one of the cottages which were tidy and well kept, nice layout and good for groups. Grounds and gardens were very well kept and the staff were very helpful. Would recommend Brakenridge for anyone that is planning an event or even just to get out of the city for a weekend. Was reasonably priced and only a 2 minute drive to Marinborough shops, cafe's and bars. "

My Wife and I found the staff professional and were very aware of exactly what needed to be handled for our wedding and celebrations.
Having the venue at the same location as the accommodation made the weekend so much easier and memorable.

" The 4 room apartment was ideal for our family of 6. 3 bathrooms, and rooms at each end of the apartment gave good privacy. Towels warming on the towel rails, a dozen eggs in the fridge for breakfast, plenty of cereal that got replenished every morning, beds straightened and linen replaced every morning... What you would expect, I know, but always appreciated. A wonderful fireplace and lounge to watch NZ v Argentina at the RWC. Fascinating New/Old flavour with the wooden farmyard doors and fittings but all new. A great central spot for wandering around the Wairarapa and Wellington. Thanks Leeann and team. "
