Candy Club, was founded in January 2016 by Ussama Rasool Qadri along with Syed Adeel Hassan with a vow to have a paradigm shift in the conventional educational system of the country. The idea was to find the purest form of education. Therefore, the aim was to dig and find out how the Holy Prophet (S. A. W.) used to preach or make others learn and develop; as that is the best resource we as Muslims have. Thus, the idea of facilitation and introducing a concept of being anti-‘teaching' became the recognition of Candy Club in the homeschooling community and many schools including Karachi Grammar School, The Haque Academy, The Learning Tree, Bay View High, etc. which wanted Candy Club to be a part of their programs in the form of educational collaborations or so. Later on, the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner's Waldorf Educational Philosophy was integrated looking at the close relevance with the idea of Candy Club which believed in ‘individualization' leading to ‘Self-Actualization'. If we try to relate the philosophy with any Muslim philosopher's ideas, it would certainly align with Iqbal's, as the core of Iqbal's philosophy is based on ‘Khudi'. Khudi, for Iqbal, was the idea of one striving to realize and understand his full potential as an individual and to embrace it.The school's pedagogy is derived from Waldorf Education and has a curriculum that revolves around nature. Candy Club's nature-based curriculum circulates around the universal nature of every element & soul present. Candy Club involves the basic living elements in its curriculum termed as FASCP (Farming, Art, Science, Construction, and Philosophy). A child is nurtured through individualization to make him an independent understanding of his abilities & choices. The school has a timetable with the concept of ‘Rhythm' which means time constraints are not enforced but are decided in the interest of the children. The school also follows international standards of inclusion and diversity.
