" This rotunda is a nice place and a good peace of History. A nice place because it is the biggest in Oporto full of shops around like banks, phone shops, opticians really useful. In the middle of the rotunda you have a nice park where people enjoy sitting on the benches to enjoy the shadows of the 🌲 by a sunny atmosphere. In the middle of the rotunda you have a column dedicated to the victories of the English armies allied with Portuguese against Napoleon and its soldiers when invading Portugal in the biginning of the 19th century. Just look carefully to the sculpture at the top you will noticed the British lion defeating the French imperial eagle. "
