" I used to go to this place around 2013-2014. For reasons which escape me, I hadn't gone back in ages before deciding to grab dinner there with my wife in April, 2017. I kept thinking over the dinner, "Why had I stopped coming to this wonderful, wonderful place?"
If you're in DOha: this place might seem like a bit of a time capsule if you've been watching how restaurants evolved in Doha since the heady days of 2010. It's a very simple outfit compared to, say, the Gordon Ramsay affairs in the St Regis next door or some of the places that have opened on the West Bay. What it does though, it does very well. The seafood is incredibly fresh and is very reasonably priced. The lamb, too, is good but not the place's selling point. There are also some purely vegetarian options but they are reliably not the stars of the show, although everybody should order the spinach pie (haters can die: I know it's not made with fresh spinach but it still tastes nice). Basically, it's what a British tourist took back from repeat visits from Greece, but a very sympathetic, cultured tourist. It goes without saying: the menu has not changed one bit, I could recall most items from three years previous.
The prices too are excellent, and particularly the wine list. Two people, sharing a main course of fish and four or five (generous) mezze-type platters along with a good bottle of wine can expect to pay less than QAR 700 (~ US $200). There is outdoor seating for when the weather is nice and often live musicians, too. Definitely love this place; I regret all the meals I neglected to have there. Go for the high quality, decently priced and portioned food but none of the fancy frills. "
