The school represents the joint efforts of the University of Kigali, the private industry and Rwanda as a nation to address the growing worldwide needs for knowledgeable professionals in the area of Business automation, Smart computing and Information Technology.In order to address these needs, we are guided by the following objectives of the IT program:1. Build IT human resource capacity to satisfy the needs at the labor market in both the public and private sectors;2. Focus on practical skills required to solve industry concerns. As a result, students will have fewer theoretical classes compared to projects and assignments. 3. Develop professionals with theoretical and practical skills in the ICT sector;4. Producing graduates who will: Be successful professionals in industry and graduate school.5. Furthermore, Students are encouraged to join projects organised by the school or by Teaching Lecturers. These Innovation projects can either be paid or organised in the form of competitions – such as contests for app developers. A combination will earn you a spot in this future industry and in-demand ICT specializations.
