After you stand in que to pay for your meals, you stand with a hungry crowd begging for attention from their staff seeking their attention to look at your order for processing. The customer is certainly not important here.
Everyone who leaves the restaurant feels like having won a battle in having tackled the crowd and managed to get his order in hand. It shouldn’t be that way at all.
With a bit of IT and ingenious thought the entire process could be greatly improved. For instance they could have an app to place your orders online and a special counter for its delivery may be. Or like the kiosks based ordering like in most fast food chains in Singapore. "
