" As guest from the Kempinski Resort Baie Lazare we visited all the local restaurants in that area in the evening. Maria's Rock Cafe was one of them. That was a fun evening as well. You roast your fish, meat ans vegetables on a hot stone. That was very tasty. The waiter and waitress were super friendly and helpful. We only would have wished for a little bit music in a "Rock Cafe". "

" Very authentic and laid-back place to eat in the middle of the jungle. Prices are more reasonable than the local supermarket and food options within the Four Seasons and Kempinski resort. But naturally, the quality of the food will not compete against the chef's of both these prestigious resorts.
Beware though, food can take a while to arrive - and 'Hot off the stone' requires diners to cook their own food on the table. A good experience but perhaps not what everyone is looking for.
Portions are large so be wary of over-ordering. Drinks are cheap and juices/smoothies are made fresh on the spot.
Parking available immediately outside for about five cars and then several spots with a minutes walk.
Food is served only between 12pm-4pm and 6pm-8:30pm. "

" Very laid back restaurant in the jungle. Delicious seafood and very reasonable prices for the area (compared to the hotels in the area). Hand written receipt on a postcard is a nice touch. Bring cash, as the card reader wasn't working both times I ate here. "
