" Remember to clarify contract details as much as possible. There are a lot of hidden T&Cs that you will only realise after you signed the contract. They use cheap rental rates to entice you but after that their true colours will emerge. Vehicle handed over to you is not in good condition. Ask for a change, the only two replies you will get are, "limited cars" or "get other models", but you see a whole car park of unhired cars parked. So I wonder if there is really limited cars to change or they just cannot be bothered. I also doubt they send the vehicle to service after previous hirer handed over. To them, once you have taken over, it is your problem. My vehicle ran into problems one day after collection, called the support hotline and was told to send to the workshop for servicing instead of returning. It shows that the company just want to push all responsibilities to the hirer while they keep themselves free from liabilities as much as possible.

They will also charge you a hefty sum first if you get into an accident because this is the only condition to get a replacement vehicle. Otherwise you have no vehicle to drive but you still pay daily rental. Then they will take their own sweet time to repair your original vehicle, without letting you know the final repair cost. Assurance of not overcharging is insufficient. You need to try and get proof (quotation) from the workshop. Call centre service is as good as none. Service staff serve you from reading the script. End of the day, you will be forced to visit the hub in person where you will have to wait for more than half an hour (even when you are the only one in there!), and they still have the cheek to apologise for keeping you waiting.

" Please do not rent from LCR. When I returned the car on 10 February 2017, there was a small chip at the back of the car boot which the employee informed me will amount to $200 at most. Recently received an invoice for $586 saying that damages have been made to the front and rear bumpers. Ridiculous. It has been almost a year and they only invoiced me now? Don't rent from LCR, don't get scammed, there are plenty of other trustworthy rental companies out there "

" Put a deposit for car rental, I ask for refund months after I've decided not to go ahead with the rental.

Had given them 4 times and confirmed my personal details with their acknowledgement, and they still call back asking for my personal details. E-mail me almost everyday asking for information as there's still missing details.

Even have record of me calling in on every occasion and still come asking again and again. "

When i return the car. They told me my final rental and the 1 day charge for the return of vehicle will be paid by my deposit within 2 weeks and they will refund the excess amount.

However 3 weeks later i received an email saying i still owe them rental. I called in and ask what happen.They send me a sms to claim for a insurance excess which i had already paid 1 months ago. And the excess was paid using my uber drivers account without notifying me at all. (Notes: for 3 weeks no one from LCR had contacted me or even send me an email)

I called them the again and they say they will check and get back to my on the same day. However no replies.

Delay in returning the rental deposit still dare to anyhow charge rental. Call in and they direct you to people who do not know anything worst till get someone who do not know a thing to call you back.

Car Renting experience with them was really unpleasant. "

" don't rent from LCR, they only look professional, but I think they have finance problem now as they are trying everything to make sure you don't get your promotion incentives and deposits. my first time rent from them was more than a year ago, it was quite good and clear. but now...the second time was a nightmare, service staffs are idiots giving you different information every time or answer like a robot by reading the book ignoring what u r talking to them. be aware of scam now, they are trying different ways to deny your incentives and deposit. waiting at their lobby and talked to other hirer around, many having problems with LCR. "

" Being very objective and fair here.

Rumors are true. Inefficient in servicing customers, inefficient in responding. Always deducting wrong amounts.

Worst is that nobody can ever give you a helpful reply. If you are unclear about anything in the contract, don't commit yourself even though the promotions look good. Just be wary.

The only good thing - new car that they provide is really new and in great condition. "

First hand car with such good promos and rates always comes at a price.
I didnt believe the negative reviews abt this company at first, until i learnt it the hard way.
Beware guys, theres always a reason why they are so 'cheap'.
Once you step into their office, you'd feel it.
Not reasonable, AT ALL!

" Extremely worst car rental company. Trust me friends, i have rented from a few companies n this is the worst of all in Singapore. PLEASE don't be fooled by their promotions n discounts. All r very well planned gimmicks. Once u sign the contract they will show u their true colours. I signed contract for 6 months n was promised 1st week rental free as they give new sign bonus of $500. After a week when I received the invoice from them, i had a terrible shock. Instead they pay me the trip earnings for the week, i ended up paying the balance amount after they deduct the rental from my earnings!!! Even got the face to msg me saying that the $500 will be paid in 4 instalments per week n that will be paid only on the following week. So friends, please don't trust the t star reviews. All must be given by their own staff. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Fully packed to the brim n overflowing with lies n bullshit. "
