" My First Trip to Physical Abuse was such a disappointment. The reason was that I wasn't welcomed in a polite manner and the person (whom I assume was one of the sales person/managers/supervisors) who attended to me was very unfriendly.
Firstly, upon entering a gym/exclusive club ( which you probably pay quite a sum of money for service and utilities) you would have expected to be warmly welcomed (e.g. " Hi welcome! How may I assist you?"), however none of the counter staff greeted at all.
Secondly, after telling the person who attended to me that I'm here for what so ever reason (Redemption of Groupon for classes), he just replied bluntly: " Is it Groupon? DO you have the printout?" When I replied no but offered to show him the copy from the email via my phone he insisted that I needed the printout.
Thirdly, after managing to clear registration phase, he took the towels and key and gave me that reluctant feeling as he "offered" to give me a tour of the gym. ( At that point of time I was already running slightly late for the class I registered for)
He first pointed out the studio saying " That's the studio for classes... And the class has already started." ( in a sarcastic tone) Then to the rest of the gym and toilets.
From this first experience at Physical Abuse, it had definitely tarnished my impression of this newly established gym (this is beyond compare to MUCH BETTER customer service from well established gyms in the market) . Given that the person who attended to me was one of the staff dressed in black collared shirt and dress pants, I had expected a friendly and welcoming attitude which could have possibly resulted me to sign a club membership with the club (being a first time customer at Physical Abuse and an ex- Gym trainer at another club previously- I knew what was expected from service staff) His unprofessional attitude had definitely left me feeling very upset despite having enjoyed the classes I had attended that night.
I (WOULD HAVE) recommended PA for their classes if not for the unapproachable staff (specifically that person who attended to me_ I won't be mentioning his name in this review). Truly disappointing. "
